About the show

“We’ve assembled a wonderfully talented cast including Brandon Schwartz, a very gifted 17-year-old singer and performer,” director Anisa Cameron said. “Brandon has a remarkable voice and if he chooses to stay in Montreal, he’s going to be a fixture in the professional theatre scene for years to come.”

Schwartz has been performing since age 6 and is now studying music with a specialization in jazz voice at Marianopolis College. Director Cameron is joined by musical director David Terriault, who worked with the Côte Saint-Luc Dramatic Society last year on Fiddler on the Roof. The choreographer is Alexia Gourd, a talented performer who will next be seen in the musical Sister Act at Place des Arts. The assistant choreographer is Ariel Sterlin, who has worked with the Côte Saint-Luc Dramatic Society since its inception in 2011.

“Our cast and crew are brimming with talent,” said Councillor Mitchell Brownstein, who helped launch the Côte Saint-Luc Dramatic Society. “With every production, we are able to up the ante and put on memorable shows. Anisa has helped assemble amazing performers and a professional crew. It’s going to be our best show yet.”

Catch Me If You Can is based on the musical book by Terrence McNally, who also wrote The Full Monty and Ragtime. The score is by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who also wrote the music for Hairspray.  The musical is based on the film by Dreamworks, which was based on the book by Frank Abagnale Jr.

The Côte Saint-Luc Dramatic Society presentation of Catch Me If You Can is the first in Canada.
